Time travel to the past

 

If I could go back in time, I’d travel between the 50’s and 60’s in Chile, but why these years? Because I’d like to meet Violeta Parra, in her best musical period. She was a Chilean artist, musician, composer, and singer. She left a great musical and artistic legacy, which is very important in Chilean culture.

If I had the opportunity to meet Violeta, I would ask her If she could teach me how to play the guitar so I could sing with her some of her songs, like “Miren cómo sonríen”, “El Guillatún”, “Qué he sacado con quererte” and one of her best hits “Volver a los 17”, it would be an honor for me!

I’d like to know the story of her life but told by herself, so for this reason and of course if it wouldn’t bother her, I’d ask her many questions about her life such as:

What is the song that means the most to you and why?

What is it like to be a mother and a great artist at the same time?

What is your meaning of life?

How did you maintain your passion for music through the ups and downs?

Finally, I think I’d stay with her to listen to her, support her and tell her every day how great she is.
